Your Children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself. They come through you but not from you. And though they are with you they belong not to you. You may give them your love but not your thoughts. For they have their own thoughts. You may house their bodies but not their souls, for their thoughts dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams. Kahlil Gibran

Journey to Becoming Friends

When Willow first arrived home from China she tried to connect with her big brother through pulling his hair and spitting on him. She wasn't quite sure how to show she wanted a friend and her need for physical connection would push the boundaries. These days things are much more mellow although they still wrestle and argue. They have also found that they both enjoy burrowing into our closets...no matter how small they squeeze themselves in.

Two friends watching G*mby.
