Your Children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself. They come through you but not from you. And though they are with you they belong not to you. You may give them your love but not your thoughts. For they have their own thoughts. You may house their bodies but not their souls, for their thoughts dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams. Kahlil Gibran

Greek New Year's Bread

Papa made Greek New Year's bread, and this year Niko assisted with the cutting. First one is always for the "house." Then each piece for each family member from oldest to youngest.
Niko is always ready with a new idea. However, Papa insists on tradition and explains, "This is how it is done."
Willow gets the last piece....
Niko found the lucky coin in his piece thus gaining good luck for the new year. Papa's name day happens to be January 1st. St Basil Day.
Willow enjoyed the new experience.
