Your Children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself. They come through you but not from you. And though they are with you they belong not to you. You may give them your love but not your thoughts. For they have their own thoughts. You may house their bodies but not their souls, for their thoughts dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams. Kahlil Gibran

Christmas 2010

Niko and Willow didn't wake up early Christmas morning. Niko never does which is nice to start the day with a full night of sleep. Willow was thrilled to see evidence that Santa had come.

She was mostly excited about the D*ra wrapping paper and cutting it with scissors.
Niko got each of us a special gift at the Grandma's Attic they hold at school. The buy a gift for a quarter and then it is wrapped for them. Papa got a snow globe.
Yiayia got a computer bag.
Dad got electrical tape.
I got a box of jewelry pins which was very sweet.

Niko always enjoys his stocking.
Willow's second favorite thing was cashews in her stocking.
Her all time favorite was her own 'puter.
Later in the morning she put Papa in time out.
She even brings the chair back and forth.
Niko played with his Hess truck while Willow played with the only toy she asked for, her own truck.
Niko was special with Willow's homemade centerpiece.
We all said what we were thankful for.
It's Willow's favorite part of the meal.
Nana and Aunt Mary joined us for dinner which was entirely made by Aunt Mary. It was exceptional as always and much appreciated.
