Your Children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself. They come through you but not from you. And though they are with you they belong not to you. You may give them your love but not your thoughts. For they have their own thoughts. You may house their bodies but not their souls, for their thoughts dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams. Kahlil Gibran

Halloween

On Halloween, my birthday, Niko pulled out another special cupcake that he had inspired and the zip line card he made with the sign that said Happy Birthday.
It isn't easy to get them both in their costumes without one overheating and then have both ready to pose for photos at the same time. The grim reaper mask helped narrow down the variables. Willow is the Spider From Under the Barn.

She is showing how she plans to scare Papa as she creeps out from under the barn.

Whenever you ask Willow if she likes chocolate she says, "Not yet." On Halloween she ate a small H*ershey bar and excitedly kept repeating, "I like it now."

Willow practiced saying Trick or Treat before we left and she could tell you that you knock on doors say Trick or Treat and get candy. She did it about 4 or 5 times and then said she was ready to go home.

Niko was ready to keep going and joined up with some friends.

I brought Willow home for a warm bath to take the chill off and then she enjoyed seeing who came to the door. We can get 300 kids on Halloween as our street is one of the most frequented in the city. The highlight was having Elm* trick or treat our house. She couldn't believe that.
