Your Children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself. They come through you but not from you. And though they are with you they belong not to you. You may give them your love but not your thoughts. For they have their own thoughts. You may house their bodies but not their souls, for their thoughts dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams. Kahlil Gibran

Day Long Hike

I am very behind in my posts and just getting around to sharing Niko's day long hiking trip with Aunt Mary and Dad. I will have him narrate since I did not go on the trip.

We were headed on a hike but on the way we stopped by the old wooden bridge and I decided to climb up to one of the bridge windows and embrace the scenery.

Then we went down to the rapids that flow underneath the old bridge.

It was beautiful how the water flew gracefully over the rocks.

I saw that it was a nice picture scenery when I walked up the hill before my Dad and Aunt so I yelled for the camera from Dad and he yelled for me to come down and get it. Thanks Dad.
I found a magnificent walking stick but on the way up I kept hitting trees and rocks and eventually it broke the end off; I kept the end and it then split; eventually I ended up with two little stubs.
Here is one of my stubs as I run along the rocky top of the mountain.
Where was that? I don't know where that was. Stop that! Seriously stop!

Well, I decided to head down a different way because it seemed safer to me...more rocky, instead of the muddy muck we came up before. But I made a wrong turn. You can see the cravass right next to me; unfortunately I didn't.

With my two stubs I found a big sheet of Birch bark that I put around my chest and found a dead branch and noticed it looked like armour when I tried to put it on.
