Your Children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself. They come through you but not from you. And though they are with you they belong not to you. You may give them your love but not your thoughts. For they have their own thoughts. You may house their bodies but not their souls, for their thoughts dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams. Kahlil Gibran

Daddy's Day Spa

I was out of town at a conference last week and Paul was left to solo care for Willow and Niko with some help from Yiayia and Papa. Niko always appreciates a vacation away from Mom, but I was told that Willow asked about me each day...yet, here are some photos that I found on the camera upon my return.

The party bib means only one thing in this house....
lots of water fun photos (darn picture won't cooperate)

but this is my favorite...ahh!! Sad, distressed and lonely don't come to mind when I look at this photo....more like pampered, relaxed and comfy.
Yiayia and Papa watched the kids while Paul joined me for the last day out of town and we drove home through the ADKs and stopped in a couple of small places. We haven't done that in a long time. (I bought Willow a pair of $6.99 boots that now barely leave her feet...more on that in a later post.) We also stopped at a small ADK restaurant and sat outside sharing fiddlehead soup.
