Your Children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself. They come through you but not from you. And though they are with you they belong not to you. You may give them your love but not your thoughts. For they have their own thoughts. You may house their bodies but not their souls, for their thoughts dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams. Kahlil Gibran

Sooper!

Niko was invited to my friend Diane's house to introduce Willow to the purest hearted creatures I have ever met, Cooper...well, Willow calls his Sooper. This is odd to me because she can't seem to make an "S" sound at any other time. At first she was a bit scared. Of course, as soon as she entered the door Cooper charged her for a kiss. She decided Niko was a safe place to assess the new situation.
She thought it was a pretty cool thing to throw balls to Cooper.

Willow separated from her brother but still wanted to stay on her safe perch.
Willow gave Cooper a treat and then he thought she had another one...look at his intense look.
I like this picture.
Niko enjoyed giving Cooper a treat as well.
Look at Cooper pose for the photo.
Willow's still not off of the couch...

Eventually Willow got brave and ran to retrieve a ball or two that Niko threw while Cooper rested. She then decided to make friends for life with an offer of rice milk from a sippy cup.
A boy and his dog...nothing like it. That night Willow kept saying, "I miss Sooper!" Then she would rip into her dinner and say, "Look Momma! I eat like Sooper!"
