Your Children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself. They come through you but not from you. And though they are with you they belong not to you. You may give them your love but not your thoughts. For they have their own thoughts. You may house their bodies but not their souls, for their thoughts dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams. Kahlil Gibran

Birthday...continued

We extended Willow's birthday to reduce the stress and extend the fun. She went for a visit to Nana's house and opened some books and stickers. She loves both.

Willow really likes this particular book from Nana. She'll say "Watsh thish. The chicken goes poopy."
YiaYia and Papa got Willow her own vacuum. She likes the word "own." "I got my OWN." "Get your OWN."

Uncle Miles and Aunt Monica sent Willow her own llama. She likes to feed it, sleep with it and hug it. (This is a positive experience compared to the NiHao doll she got as a gift for Christmas. The Chinese lullaby made her cry and she told me to "take it away." Then she began the soothing mantra we do "Mommy loves Willow; Grandpa loves Willow, Uncles Miles loves Willow...for some reason the last two are her favorite people to mention.)

more llama kisses
big brother piggy back ride
Niko dragged Willow around in the car he made out of her birthday gift box. She trustingly let him zip her around the house in it.
